New Site, New Blog

Another welcome to the New Big Red Sharks....

I had to ditch the old site for a new format which includes starting the blog over. This can be our re-intro to the new Big Red Sharks Blog with branding for the era of the 2020s!

My next major projects will be still natural history and science illustration focused. Here is little recap of what I am working on....

1. I'm working with a wonderful entrepreneur in CA on a line of clothing focused on featuring critically endangered species. She is very environmentally minded and I think our ideas meld so well. I can't wait to show you what she's creating once it's ready to showcase. In the meantime, here are some images that will be included in the project.

2. I'm re-vamping my Dope Nopes project, where I find the creepiest and weirdest creatures across the world to illustrate. My goal is to get them into a similar style and format so it can be easily accessible as a learning platform for kids and adults who like to know about all the weirdness out there in nature. I'm thinking coloring books, calendars and all sorts of creeper crawly merch.

3. I've planned out some images for an Arthropoda Tarot Deck. I spent a lot of time mapping out which arthropod would best represent each character in the Major Arcana and I'm really excited to start illustrating them. Stay tuned because it's going to be really fun.

4. Since I now live in a very unique area of the world (a temperate rainforest outside of Melbourne Australia), I'm going to make some interactive ecosystem diagrams for the various AU ecosystems that I encounter, starting with the Dandenong Mountains where I live. I'm excited to share with you all the kookaburras, echidnas, and kangaroos that live in our yard!

So keep checking in for more content! Things are going to get fun at Big Red Sharks and I want to share it with all of you!
